8days from the arrival of bare root strawberrie and I have flowers!

Some plants have flowers barely out of the crown.

Wondering whats up with that?

Is everyone, all of you who's mor experienced than I in agreement the 1st flowering of ne plants should be clipper?

Any and as always all constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated.

Thought I'd include a pic.

One of the biggest thing I'm learning with this venture is there isn't 1 answer solve all since every system is unique in not one, but many ways.

My biggest problem is I've never grown anything anywhere whichway.

Don't remove the blooms. Strawberries come back from dormant roots each year so the ones that you received aren't really "new" plants and can handle having blooms on them. Your plant looks very healthy to me and it's normal for strawberry plants to have blooms shortly after they come out of dormancy. Enjoy the strawberries :thumbright:

FWIW - many plants will drop their blooms or buds if conditions are unfavorable. On the other hand flowering is also sometimes a response to stress. It's basically about survival and reproduction.

I've ordered from 2 companies. 1 says clip / trim the roots before planting, the other recommends NOT to trim.

Also, my limited knowledge / research brings a conflict where deflowering first bloom is concerned.

As I begin to realize no matter how simular one system is to the next, each one is unique in it's genetic makeup.
Therefore unique in many other aspects.

I've opted to not cut the roots or the first flower with my new tower configuration.

Stress on the plant is a real possibility since I decided to change the entire bio filter the day before the roots arrived.

Thank God for bio jump start additive! And thank you for your valued input.

More pics of this setup are on the way. Plus plans for a larger system. Think fibancci spiral naturally
