I seem to recall some people use (AP) solid waste in their
dirt gardens. Can anyone tell me what it does to the
ph in the soil if anything?

Thanks

Hi, I hadn't given the pH effect any thought - but I will let you know if it is detrimental.
I emptied my radial filter's contents on my fruit trees, rhubarb and hydrangeas on the weekend and nothing has curled up yet. It was years of build up in a system which continually tests around 7.8-8 pH.

Hi Karen, Thanks for your response.

I'm in the mist of designing a system which uses the earth as the biofilter. (solids collection)

more so than munching microbes. The bulk of bacteria will live beneath on broken concrete and or boulders. I've read a bit here and there that theirs a swing of a few points with different plants where PH is concerned.

This project is being installed in somebodies front yard, so plant placement is crucial. So I need to possibly
have different PH zones. That is if I can, I will.

I'd also like to ask if anyone has any info of how the breakdown process works in earth. (sun, bugs, wind, deuterium laced rain?)

Tips, tricks, links are greatly appreciated!

David
